WebPlus X6: Paypal Confirmation on Site
Hi there, I've been doing quite a bit of reading today and sadly, no avail.
I'm wondering if there is a form / an option in a form to send/receive the paypal confirmation (Transaction Token & Identity Token) to my own site. I've read through the information available from paypal and have searched the forums high and low.
I guess my question is; Do i have to do it all myself or is there a quicker/ easier way to do it through webplus?

WebPlus X4: Webplus Pastel Accounting
Hi
If I have Pastel Accounting installed on my computer, is it possible to have clients accessing the pastel accounting software through my website and process and save transaction in Pastel?
How can I do the setup of this? In other words, people must go to my website, click on the pastel icon and then be able to process transactions. Then I will later on verify if these transactions were entered correctly.

WebPlus X6: Where to put Visual Lightbox files
I posted yesterday asking how to include a photo gallery with a larger size than the standard one in x6 and it was suggested I try Visual Lightbox.
I was getting there with it until I came to the part in the part where the guide says
"Upload geberated data and engine folder on to your server"
I assume I need to copy these files into website root directory (accessed via File Manager?), but I'm not sure how to do this - appreciate if someone could clarify.

WebPlus X6: HTML Fragment Won't Position
Hi,
This is the first Serif WebPlus program I have ever used and I have been using it for just over a week.
I'm trying to put two 'scripts' (in a HTML Fragment) onto my site. One of them will position itself correctly whereas the other one won't.

WebPlus X6: I've done something silly...lost scrollbar
I don't know what I did, but on one of the pages in a site I'm developing I've lost the vertical right-hand scroll bar that usually sits next to the studio tabs. It's showing up on the other pages, just not one particular page, and also the page/background isn't there - just the elements placed on the page. I have a feeling the page background is lower, but I have no scrollbar to get there! I've tried zooming out etc.

WebPlus X4: Difficulty Uploading Website
Wondered if anyone could help.
I deisgned my own website using Weblus x4 a few months ago, and as an artist I tend to have to update images fairly often. I reduce all images to 72dpi, and no single image is over 1MG, but even once I have fixed all the links, I can not get it to upload onto my website.
It seems not to be able to get past one upload even thought there are about 150 files to upload. It just crashes.
I have tried everything including optimising images but just can't get it to upload with all images etc.
So now I have a website with info and cv but not a single image! not great for a visual artist!
Require help urgently!

WebPlus X6: potential upgrade pitfalls
I have X2, and have built two simple sites with text, a few images, and loads of pdf files. I have recently purchased X6 as a full product, not an upgrade.
1. Can I install X6 separately, or does it force an uninstall of X2?
2. Does X6 read the wpp files of the previous sites without making any changes?
3. Are there any pitfalls or something unusual I should look out for or be aware of in this change of version?
4. If I do not like X6, could X2 read the wpp files produced by X6, or do I risk having to repeat the work if I went back? I have seen recent threads about X6 crashing, but my sites do not have large images.

In perusing Google's 'Search Engine Optimisation Guide' I came across this:
'Have a Useful 404 page
Users will occasionally come to a page that doesn't exist on your site, either by following a broken link
or typing in the wrong URL. Having a custom 404 page that kindly guides users back to a working
page on your site can greatly improve a user's experience. Your 404 page should probably have a link
back to your root page and could also provide links to popular or related content on your site.'
Searching the 'help', forums, and knowledge base doesn't come up with anything on this, and I wondered if there was an easy way of adding this to my site? The old site had various links which are no longer there, and are still pointed to by search engines, so such a page would be really useful!:)

WebPlus X6: Table positioning
After sorting out numerous issues with a site I am rebuilding from FrontPage 2003 and thinking I had them all resolved I found another issue. I have been through the manual and resource guide and find little or no information on tables. I have also searched on the forum here to no avail. I assume I am missing something. My problem is I have several tables on one page that contain photos and comments. Everything looks fine when the page is constructed. But when it is tested the tables do not follow along with the rest of the page. The tables end up covering up parts of the text on that page. Can the table be linked somehow to the text above it so the page format remains correct?

I was quite disappointed when I realized, that the only payment method in webplus ecommerce is paypal (I also need bank transfer). Now I've searched a bit in the internet and found out, that in other countries/languages there are other options with the webplus x5 software. I also found the provider "prestashop" linked with some webplus posts. My hosting company does offer prestashop. Now here's my question: how do I integrate prestashop in webplus x5? Is this a good choice?

WebPlus X6: Lightbox stopped working
On a client website, I have elected to use or customize the nav. My "contact" page is displayed via lightbox. When I changed navigation types, I had to rebuild the custom nav. Doing that has somehow disabled the lightbox feature. I've deleted and added back a number of times to no avail. Help if you can.

WebPlus 10: Graphics/buttons etc disappearing on website
Hi there,
I've always used WebPlus 10 for my website with no issues. However, recently, I've noticed that graphics, buttons etc. appear to have vanished from my site on my machine.
My partner seems to have no issues viewing my site on an iPad. All other websites I access are working fine. I tried a full upload of the site, but the same issue occurs. My site is www.develop-meant.com
When I'm working on the site, I can select "Preview in Window" and, the landing page, for example, appears fine. I can also select "Preview page in Internet Explorer" and the page looks fine. However, I've noticed that, when I click the message at the bottom of the screen during a preview in IE 10 "Internet Explorer blocked scripts or Active X Controls" when I click "Allow Blocked Content" the graphics disappear, as they do when I access my website online.
Any ideas?

We want to add a blog to our website. We developed it using WebPlus6, and have it hosted by GoDaddy. GoDaddy tell us to use Wordpress.org. However WebPlus6 has the Smart Object to set up a blog. I can't seem to distinguish the primary differences. Our priorities are:
1) it must look and feel like the website.
2) must be able to hyperlink to a posting from FB, email newsletters, etc.
3) must be easy to administer.
Why wouldn't we use the WebPlus6 Smart Object? Thank you for your insight. - Leisha

WebPlus X5: I can not click and drag my text/HTML boxes
Hi,
I came across this forum whilst looking for help online so I hope somebody can help, please.
I have been using Serif for almost two years now and have never come across this issue, until now.
I sat down to work on a website. I entered a text box, went to drag it but found it would not move. I have tried creating a new site but have the same issue and I can't even edit any exsisting sites. Nothing seems to work.
I am hoping it's a quick fix problem I can do tonight. I think something maybe locked but not sure what or how to unlock it.
Can somebody help please?

I think it is Ok with the exception of the CONTACT
in this page I have various links. In IE and Chrome they are OK. However, in Firefox some of the links appear faint and are not coloured. I have tried everything that I could with no luck, any ideas?SM:HELP

WebPlus X6: Poor Image quality on Master Pages.
I set-up a master page to display a series of adverts below the site pages. The display quality of these pictures is poor. If I place the same picture on an actual page of the site, the quality improves considerably.
Can anyone explain why this happens? It looks like I am going to have to redesign the entire site to get around this problem.
