We have a basic site built, but can't find where to copy PDF files to in order to link to them, the link won't be a problem, just where do you copy the PDF files to? Thanks!

WebPlus X6: Music to my wedding site
Hello All,
I have created a wedding site for me and my fiance. I kind of know how to add a music file to a page. But I was wondering if it was possible to do something a little different.
I would like my music to continuously play as you go through my site without having to add it to each page and restarting over each time you click on a new tab.

Any ideas why this happens and can it be fixed?
If I click on a page that opens in a new window, close it then decide to open it again, it won't.
To get it to open again I must open another page then go back to the page I wanted.

WebPlus X6: Online Chat dumb questions
My new (one and only, first ever, virgin!) client has asked if I can add online chat functionality. I've seen in a few threads that it is doable, but I'm completely ignorant in knowing how it works if the site is for a client, vs. for me.
Is it during the set-up of the online chat "thing" that you configure it so that the client is aware when someone's on the site? Does it involve the web hosting company too?
Am I making any sense?
And - what's your favorite chat software to use if all is doable?

WebPlus X6: Regenerating Gallery Cache...
I am having an issue with opening my site - getting a message "Regenerating Gallery Cache" with a progress bar. It is stuck on this with no way around it. Anyone else seen this issue? Workaround - fix?

WebPlus X5: Object Order
Hi
I have always used "object order" to keep the more important sections of html in order. But im struggling to set the object order when I have several items placed on a repeating area.
For the time being I have discovered if you move the items off the page and remove the repeating panel, then plce the objects back on the page you can change the order, then remove, place the repeating area back and re-paste, but I have about 40 pages to do, does anyone know a quicker way around this?
Also on the subject of object order, is there anyway to stop the masterpages object order taking precedence over the content page?

WebPlus X5: First Post & First question
Hello. I am a new (30 minute old) site member. I plan to learn much here I hope. I researched a few nites on my question and could not get answer so here I am to ask.
I have Serif web plus x5, I am trying to make a pay button for pay-pal that has multi-options with multi-prices. I created the button in pay-pal but am getting lost getting it to work on my page preview. I don't know where exactly to insert the code in the serif "insert html" page.
Any suggestions or help much appreciated.

WebPlus X5: How do you stop Webplus asking to find folders for images and font substitutions?
So basically I designed a website for the shop I work in on my home computer.
Now that I finished it, I suggested they purchase webplus X5 so they'd be able to edit it themselves once I leave. (I use X2 at home).
So I transferred the webplus document and all the images I was using on my USB stick and put them on the shop computer.
However, any time I open the file it always says it can't find the link to the images. (i.e. the link to my folder and computer at home). However, all the images appear fine when I click "No to All" when it asks me if I want to choose new folders for all the images. How do I get it to stop trying to find the images on my computer back home when it doesn't even need to?
Also, it says that numerous fonts I used aren't available and to let WebPlus automatically pick fonts to use or for me to choose replacement fonts manually. I did the latter and then went through all the pages and changed the font of each textbox to the basic "Arial" font. But after saving and reopening the site, it comes up with the same message, despite me having already changed all the fonts the previous time. How do I stop this?
EDIT: P.S. How do I edit the title of this thread? I have somehow managed to only type the start of the title, or the computer has cut it off.

hello everyone
i have added a new page to my site, which is different (bigger) than the others. thats why i have added a new masterpage(B), and atached it to it. MP B is transparent, but i also need letters on it.these letters should be solid, not transparent, should i set a 3rd masterpage(C) for the letters behind it? how is this set properly?

WebPlus X6: Help with Comparisons/Differences (Webs/SquareSpace/Web Plus X6)
Hi everyone, I'm actually a previous and long time Serif customer, however... my last order and use of Web Plus was in 2009 (wow, time flies!) - the very day/morning the new X4 was released at the time I downloaded it!
Now... years later, I have grown into my role in several companies helping with online development and social media managements, including two of my own and a wonderful family business that has thrived for nearly three years now.
I am looking for a new place to migrate all of our websites/eCommerce stores to that I either own or manage... after firmly deciding to make a change away from GoDaddy (bleh, DON'T get me started) I have spent weeks, and months now, researching and debating between:
1) Going back to Serif's WebPlus, or using the new amazing and highly polished online WYSIWYG web-builer tools between
2) Webs, or...
3) SquareSpace.
I STILL can't make a confident decision in either direction; PLEASE HELP!

WebPlus X5: Photo Galleries
I have a page on one of my sites with five photo galleries which may be seen HERE The number of galleries will increase at the rate of one a month and I anticipate more image files being added to existing galleries over time.
Could you therefore advise me:
a) Is there an upper limit to the number of galleries allowed per page or per site, using WebPlus?
b) Is there a maximum number of images allowed per gallery?

WebPlus X6: Can I Install site locally to Android Tablet?
I want to build a simple html site to run locally on an Android tablet. IT MUST RUN LOCALLY - I don't want to have to link to a internet connection/site to run.
I am a salesman and want to move my paper "approach book" to an 10" android tablet. I want a simple front end to show a prospect; product information pages, customer testimonials, and videos, etc. Currently these are in pdf, powerpoint formats that I print out and carry in a small binder. I can display all of this now on the tablet but it is done opening different files in different apps.
Has anyone done this with WebPlus? Can I publish the site locally on my PC and then just move a folder to my tablet and run?
Also since a bit of my info is company built pdf pages does Webplus easily import a pdf file to create a webpage?

WebPlus X6: thumbnails showing in a panel question

WebPlus X6: the simplest things
Much as I like webplus there seem to be some really simply things that it can't do - for instance - I'm trying to draw a zig zag line with more that 30points in it. I want a really fine zigzag, not a big chunky one. This however doesn't seem to be possible. Maintaining transparency by dragging a picture from photoplus isn't possible it seems either. I've paid to download a web template in PSD which photoplus can open but it can't seem to deal with pulling images from the layers across - it has to place them as a picture with a white background hence needing to create a zigzag line. Anyone got any ideas.

WebPlus X5: installation question
I have just purchased a new computer running windowss 8 and moving everything from my old windows xp computer to the new one. I have my website for my business designed with Webplus X2 on the old computer and I have purchased Webplus X5 to put on my new computer.
Would it be better on the new computer to just install Webplus X5 on the new computer and let all the files built in X2 reassociate to X5 OR should I first install X2 on the new computer and THEN install X5 on top??
Since this is my business website, I just want to be sure and do this the right way. Thanks so much for any help you can send my way!! Kathy
