WebPlus X6: Hyperlinks within a database merge

Can this be done?

I have created a serif database and merged it successfully - it is a contact list with names, addresses, phone #'s and email addresses. Is there any way to format the email field so that after the merge, the email will appear as a clickable hyperlink?

I know that I can manually add in the hyperlink after the merge but then, once I make any changes and have to merge the database with new information, I would have to do it all over again!
