WebPlus X6: Mobile sites - how well do sliders and panels work?

Hiya all

Brain-picking time...

For those of you experienced in creating mobile sites aimed at smartphone users:

1. how well do properly sized-to-width panels and sliders work, especially on Apple devices?

2. what font size do you use for body text content?

3. what site width do you use and why? I'm seeing anywhere from 360 to about 500 pix.

4. any hints and tips you want to share beyond the obvious, which includes:
a. no Flash
b. no autoscrollbars
c. the other one or two, which I've forgotten
