Dear All
Fairly new to Serif Software, but actually really like WebPlus X6. I have got a new site running for my employers from scratch to something quite reasonable in just a week.
But I am having a bit of a problem with a navigation bar feature. I want to be able to highlight the area they are in even if the specific page isn't selected.
For example, we have a restaurant. The restaurant menu doesn't have any dropdowns and is a page on it's own. I have the normal button on the menu as grey with a greyed flower and hover and 'down' as a green button and a coloured flower. This works find on the restaurant page, when you choose it the page is displayed and the retaurant menu button turns and stays green with a coloured flower.
But I also want to do something similar with, say, giftware. But under giftware we have, for example, 'cards and paper', 'kitchenware', 'candles', toiletries etc. So what I would like is the giftware menu option to go green with the coloured flower when any of those are selected. I have the 'highlight ancestors of current page' set on the menus and dropdowns which I assumed would do the trick as that is what it kind of implies. But this doesn't work. When I select 'candles' for example, the giftware button on the menu remains in a 'normal' state i.e. grey with a grey flower.
I have checked the site structure and the menu structure (which is manual) and the pages are definitely all 'children' of the giftware page/menu option.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here or is that just not what the 'highlight ancestors of current page' is designed to do?
I can give the link to the test version of the site if this would help?
Many thanks
Trevor
