I have now made several amendments to my site for the sale of my house & have republished it.
For those who commented on my first version, I hope my changes have eliminated some of your concerns.
1. I have changed the background - for those of you who thought the background was dreadful & suggested white, I tried that & thought it even more dreadful. Sorry.
2. I have removed the music from my photo gallery page - with so many of you thinking it was bad, I had to agree.:)
3. A few of you thought that my site was too wordy. I have changed my site somewhat by adding MORE WORDS SM:LAUGH but I would just like to explain why. I have added text for the "basic" details to a Property Details page but with a note on the same page for those who may want more detail with links to my original pages. As mentioned previously my house is already on Rightmove (& Zoopla etc) via my estate agent, as well as being on their own website. Having only had 2 viewings through them I wanted to also advertise it myself. So my site (if people can reach it!) is IN ADDITION & I now have a site address which I can give to anyone who wants the "MORE INFORMATION". I have already been asked for the web address from the friend of a friend who is a builder - & the sort of person I want to attract. I also now have a URL to add to other sites I intend to register with for selling privately but where you can only give a paragraph description & maybe a couple of photos. If my site was the only one advertising my house for sale I would agree that people might just walk on by but it isn't the only one.
