WebPlus X6: Database return challenge X6

I have a challenging project to do on my website. I use X6.

I have a large excel spreadsheet that quotes a price if certain criteria are entered.

For the website I want the price to show if the criteria is entered.

Is there a way to have the excel spreadsheet hosted on a server (to big and sensitive to be a part of the webpage) and for the webpage to send a few numbers (entered in to areas on the site by the visitor) to the spreadsheet that returns a price back to the webpage.

I have been doing some research on serif's database merge but not sure this will work. Although if it is the right facility to use I may need some guidance to start me off.
