Hi Guys
Most of the forms on my site are set-up using serif validation and forms to go to process the information.
All was working fine and dandy, noticed we had better conversions without the captcha form, but recently the level of spam we've been getting has been absolutely ridiculous.
The wierdest thing of all though is that it appears to be nonesense spam that doesn't really have a purpose. Perfect example of it below:
"COMMENT : dtuzhgjoebnpsuhbhfpomjof, lasxsepljo
Phone number : thounnva
NAME : bmtewdssfz
EMAIL : wbwyzjgzru@wyuikp.com"
Doesn't even appear to be a proper website being linked to.
Anyway, we used to get one every once in a while but these days we're getting tonnes of them. They either complete nonsense ones like the above or completely blank one's (which shouldn't be possible because validation is set-up).
I get approx 15-20 spam enquiries a day. It's really clogging up my inbox and making it hard to distinguish the real enquiries from the duds.
Does anybody know of any little tricks I can use to lowerthe amount of spam that I get without resorting to serif captcha boxes?
Any help here would be massively appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
