WebPlus X6: Can't Install-BSOD 0x0000008E

I bought the retail WebPlusx6 box but the disk causes my computer to crash with the BSOD. This has never happened before with my machine and everything else is running fine.
Windows XP Professional
Dell Optiplex 745 Core2Duo 4 GB RAM, 95 GB available space

Any ideas? I tried loading the installation disk on my Windows 7 64 bit notebook and it started up fine--I don't want to install WebPlus there, I want it on my Windows XP machine.
