Background Troubles

Hi Guys,
I have a problem this morning. When I look at my website in the design view it looks good and has an image as its background. However, when I preview this in browser or export it and preview it like that through publishing to disk I have a completely blank white background. The image is embedded in the file and I just don't know what's causing it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
